Tatler Restaurant Guide 2010
In the beautifully restored Langham hotel, this one of London’s most attractive large dining rooms. From the blowzy pale-pink damask roses on the table to the linen and china, everything is a feast for the eyes. But the really good news is that the kitchen, after a period of uncertainty, has found its feet, with a confident, Modern British cuisine. Sweet and smiling service seems to anticipate your wishes, and the set lunch is something of a steal. A great spot for breakfast too.

FOODTRIPPER
Regent Street, an essential part of food lover’s foraging
Tasting menus were invented for people like me; ditherers, procrastinators, Librans. The great undecided. Sometimes I get so excited by menus all I see are letters dancing before my eyes.

HARDEN'S RESTAURANT GUIDE 2009
The Landau is described as one of the top ten openings of 2008
"Liveried, super-attentive staff” are but one part of the formula that makes this “sumptuous” (“glitzy”’) new hotel dining room a fine-dining “beacon” in the purlieus of Oxford Circus; Andrew Turner’s menus are certainly on the “fiddly” side, but fans say results are “divine”.

TIME OUT
Chef Andrew Turner's menu allows you to try appetiser sized portions of his best dishes, a succession of titillating titbits presented in exquisite fashion.
The service is delightful. Our sommelier had exactly the right balance of expertise, bonhomie and ability to put people at ease that's necessary to do the job brilliantly.

What really impresses is the entrance where a vaulted wine corridor, dramatically lit along with some of the restaurants 1,390 wines and champagnes are on display.

DECANTER
The winelist compiled by John Atkinson MW, is a model of clarity with special selections from Domaine Chave, Ridge Vineyards, Telmo Rodriguez and several other star winemakers. There is also a good selection by the glass and half-bottles, which is a help with the heterogeneous tasting menus, as is the first-rate sommeliers advice.

WALLPAPER
Entrance into the dining area is through a vaulted limestone and brick passage way lines with luminous glass cabinets filled with bottles from the restaurant's wine collection. Past this connoisseurs dreamscape, the space widens into an oval shaped design oriental tones and graceful proportions.

THE LONDONPAPER
Service is sweet and effective. The space is groomed and atmospheric enough to suit business or pleasure.
A fine sauce of curried mussels poured over halibut and a slender finger of toffee cheesecake paired with seat, sharp slivers of pineapple.

LONDON LITE
The Landau is a seriously spectacular dining space, with food to match.
We glanced actually gasped at the impact of this round, high ceiling restaurant. A beautiful grey-blue space with a stylish take on art deco, its a dining cathedral.

THE INDEPENDENT
When you arrive you're met by a twinkling maitre d' who knows your name and the time your table's booked. He takes you past gorgeous glass cabinets displaying bottles of Cote Rotie and Chateau Mouton Rothschild...service was especially charming.

VIEW LONDON
Exquisite dishes to make the taste buds dance emerge from the kitchen to tantalise all the senses.
The gratin of seafood with macaroni, basil, grapes and Setoise sauce (a Langoustine shell based sauce that’s rich and creamy) is to die for. A stunning restaurant with the substance to back it, The Landau is worth every penny.
